Frequently Asked Question

Have questions about how bail bonds work? We’ve answered the ones we hear most from clients across the country. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, call us at (956) 727-5444 and we’ll walk you through it.

A bail bond is a guarantee from Century Bail Bond Broker Incorporated that the full bail amount will be paid to the court if the defendant fails to appear. You pay a percentage of the total bail as our fee, and we post the bond on your behalf so your loved one can be released while their case is pending.

If a defendant fails to appear in court, the bond is forfeited and a warrant is typically issued for their arrest. This is also when collateral or co-signers may become liable. We always recommend keeping track of all court dates closely to avoid this situation.
